The Great Reset Builders Generation or Silent Generation 1928-1945
Who were the people that lived during the perilous times of the great reset? A time where Insane Asylums were institutionalized, Mass Fires, Mass Migration, Famine, Wars..
The Silent Generation (also known as the Traditionalist Generation or the Builders Generation) refers to the demographic group born roughly between 1928 and 1945, though some sources use slightly adjusted ranges like 1925–1945 or 1928–1946.
As of March 2026, members of this generation are approximately 81 to 98 years old (with most in their mid-80s to mid-90s). These are the parents of the ‘Baby Boomer’ generation.
1951 Time magazine article that described the younger generation of that era as surprisingly quiet, passive, conformist, and lacking the outspoken energy of previous or later cohorts. Here is a quote from the Time article:
This quote provides a good depiction of the many new endeavors and distractions which were strategically injected into societies youth at that time. Children were often raised by fear, and with the idea that they should be “seen but not heard”. They grew up during or just after the McCarthy era (anti-communist investigations in the U.S.), when expressing dissenting political views could carry real risks. The youth were taught at a young age to conform and obey. The Silent Generation were generally more reserved compared to the vocal Baby Boomers who followed.
They experienced a world shaped by extreme hardship and transformation during their childhood and early adulthood. Their parents’ generation — often aligned with the Greatest Generation (born roughly 1901–1927, sometimes extended to include late 1890s births) — lived through even more foundational upheavals of the early 20th century.
Their Parents’ Generation: the Greatest Generation era (roughly 1900’s–1940’s) was born into the tail end of the Victorian/Edwardian era and grew up in an age of rapid industrialization, then faced cataclysmic weather, wars and economic collapse.

Several key global events during their lifetimes:
- Early 1900s – Technological and Imperial shifts:
- Wright brothers’ first powered flight (1903).
- Einstein’s theory of special relativity (1905).
- Unification processes and revolutions (e.g., Persian Constitutional Revolution, early stirrings in colonies).
- 1914–1918: World War I — The “war to end all wars” killed millions, redrew maps (fall of empires like Austro-Hungarian, Ottoman, Russian, German), introduced trench warfare and chemical weapons, and the 1918–1919 Spanish Flu pandemic (killing 50+ million worldwide).
- 1917–1920s: Russian Revolution and aftermath — Bolshevik takeover or revolution, establishment of the Soviet Union, civil war, and the spread of communism as a global ideological force. The Russian Civil War (1917–1922/1923) that immediately followed the Bolshevik seizure of power sparked civil war, Red Terror, famines, and related violence. 7–12 million total deaths (including military and civilian)
- 1920s: Roaring Twenties / Interwar boom — Economic prosperity in many places (jazz age, cultural flourishing), but uneven; rise of fascism in Europe (Mussolini in Italy 1922).
- 1929–1939: Great Depression — Global economic collapse starting with the Wall Street Crash; massive unemployment, poverty, Dust Bowl in the US, hyperinflation elsewhere, fueling political extremism.
- 1930s: Rise of totalitarianism — Hitler’s Nazi regime in Germany (1933 onward), persecution of Jews, Spanish Civil War (1936–1939) as a prelude to wider conflict, the Japanese invasion of China (1937).
- 1939–1945: World War II — The deadliest conflict in history (70–85 million deaths); Holocaust genocide; battles across Europe, Pacific, Africa; atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (1945); end with Allied victory, but Europe/Asia in ruins.

Their generation fought in or supported both world wars, endured rationing, and rebuilt societies afterward.. instilling strong values of resilience, duty, and sacrifice that they passed to their Silent Generation children.
The Silent Generation that followed was likely strongly influenced politically and culturally to forget the not so distant, tumultuous past their parents endured. The great reset was a deliberate and carefully orchestrated transition from the truly dark ages of the late 1800’s to the mid 1900’s, to an era of industrialization and ample distractions. The Television, NACA/NASA & Disney were all coincidentally fortified during this time period, and have all been used as a channel for delivering propaganda.

We should all aim to discuss with any elderly person who lived during this era, and can still share their story with the world, what culture and life was like during that significant period of world history.
